Day 1
From the Mediterranean to the medieval charm of Morella

Your journey starts in the sunny cities of Valencia or Alicante, or you can tailor your departure in Barcelona, leaving the Mediterranean behind and heading into the mountainous interior. The roads wind through orange and almond groves, passing through tranquil and picturesque landscapes. The day's destination is Morella, a walled town that will transport you back to the Middle Ages. Stroll through its cobbled streets, climb up to its imposing castle and enjoy a traditional dinner with local products, such as the famous Morella lamb and black truffle, emblematic of the region.

Day 2
From Medieval Enchantment to Spanish Tuscany

The first stage begins in Morella, a medieval jewel surrounded by walls and crowned by an imposing castle. From here, the route enters the Matarranya, known as the ‘Spanish Tuscany’. Its landscapes of rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards, dotted with charming villages such as Valderrobres and Calaceite, create a picture-postcard atmosphere. The winding roads are perfect for enjoying the drive while marvelling at the scenery. It ends in Riba-Roja de Ebro, where the reflections of the river give you a unique experience of calm.

Day 3
WRC Rally and Roman Heritage

From Riba-Roja de Ebro, the roads become mythical terrain for motoring enthusiasts, as they are part of the World Rally Championship. Smooth and challenging curves, surrounded by lush forests and ravines, will lead you to Tarragona. This city, with its rich Roman legacy, welcomes you with its amphitheatre on the shores of the Mediterranean and its lively old town. End the day enjoying a typical Catalan dinner, with dishes such as fish suquet or calçotada in season.

Day 4
Mediterranean Biodiversity

The day starts in Tarragona, where Roman history bids farewell as you head towards the impressive Ebro Delta, one of the most important wetlands in Europe. Drive along roads surrounded by rice paddies and see flamingos in their natural habitat. Stop to taste the famous seafood and rice dishes that make this region unique. In the afternoon, take the road back to Valencia, crossing mountains with spectacular views, to end the day strolling through the old town or the City of Arts and Sciences while enjoying an unforgettable dinner.

Day 5
Farewell between Lagoons and Scenic Roads

The last day takes you to the Albufera Natural Park, home to lagoons and marshes that offer a serene and lively landscape. From here, Alicante's inland mountain roads provide the perfect backdrop for your final stretch, with gentle curves and views that combine coast and heights. Upon arrival in Alicante, bid farewell to the trip with dinner by the sea, remembering every moment of this unforgettable adventure.

Regardless of your riding experience, our journeys are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for every rider. The routes are planned so that any pilot can confidently take part and fully enjoy the adventure.

On full riding days, we typically cover an average of 250 to 350 kilometers per day.

The routes are thoughtfully designed to include scenic photo stops, gastronomic experiences, and rest breaks. This way, you can enjoy not only the ride itself but also the destinations we explore — with enough time to relax and recharge.

The dress code is informal. At our facilities, we offer rental equipment including helmets, jackets, and gloves. If you already have your own gear, simply bring your helmet and riding equipment. Depending on the itinerary and weather conditions, rain gear may also be necessary.

Before the tour begins, you will receive our specific travel guide, which includes detailed and useful information about the trip, along with clear recommendations on what clothing and equipment to bring.

For all our trips and events, both the rider and passenger must wear, at a minimum, the protective gear required by traffic regulations (DGT). However, for greater comfort and safety, we strongly recommend using appropriate motorcycle protective clothing.

If rain is expected, we also recommend bringing waterproof clothing and a second pair of gloves to ensure a more comfortable riding experience.

Yes, wearing a helmet is mandatory and, most importantly, it is a fundamental element for your safety.

Europe

Participants from non-EU countries are required to carry a valid passport.

For EU citizens, their national motorcycle driving license is valid in all EU member states, as well as in Turkey and Morocco.
For all other nationalities, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

For participants from non-EU countries, the International Driving Permit is mandatory. This document is typically issued by the Automobile Club or the relevant governmental authority in each country.

In all cases, both the passport and the driving license must be valid at the time of travel.

When booking international routes, it is essential to indicate your nationality, as certain countries may require specific entry visas depending on your citizenship.

For self-guided tours, there is no strict minimum or maximum number of motorcycles. However, we recommend groups of 1 to 10 motorcycles to ensure smooth coordination and an optimal riding experience.

All our hotels are carefully selected by the Mediterranean Routes team after personally visiting their facilities and ensuring the highest standards of service and quality.

Most of the hotels provide private covered parking. In cases where covered parking is not available, they offer a designated and supervised parking area for our vehicles or are located in low-risk areas where parking is safe and secure.

Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather.

In the event of extreme adverse weather conditions, the tour leader(s) will assess the situation and may decide to cancel the route for that day in order to preserve the overall quality and safety of the remainder of the tour as much as possible.

The amount will depend on the specific route and its duration. In some tours, both breakfast and dinner are included, while in others only breakfast is provided.

There’s no need to worry — a few days before departure, our team will provide you with guidance on the approximate amount of money you may need for expenses such as meals and fuel during the route.

Yes, absolutely.

We offer a van service that can be arranged for companions during the tours. On organized tours, this vehicle also operates as a support and storage vehicle, assisting the group throughout the journey to ensure comfort and convenience for everyone involved.
