Roadmap

Day 1
From Coast to Medieval Charm

The adventure begins, leaving the beaches of the Mediterranean or vibrant Madrid behind and heading into the heart of Castilla-La Mancha. The wide, well-paved roads wind through rolling hills, vineyards and sunflower fields stretching to the horizon. As you approach Cuenca, the landscape transforms into canyons and mountains, a visual and motoring delight. Upon arrival, the famous Casas Colgadas (Hanging Houses) and the historic old town, a World Heritage Site, offer a perfect break to immerse yourself in history. In the evening, enjoy a typical dinner with Manchegan specialities such as morteruelo and ajoarriero, ideal for replenishing your energy after an unforgettable day.

Day 2
Curves and nature in the biosphere reserve, the Cazorla Park.

From Cuenca, the curves start to intensify as you enter the Serranía de Cuenca and later the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas, Spain's largest natural park. The roads are narrow and winding, surrounded by Mediterranean forests, ravines and seemingly endless panoramic views. The motorcycling experience here is unparalleled, with the perfect combination of technical routes and spectacular scenery. Arriving in Cazorla, a charming village dominated by its medieval castle, a dinner based on local products such as extra virgin olive oil and game dishes that reflect the culinary tradition of the region awaits you.

Day 3
Granada: Culture and Gastronomy at the foot of Sierra Nevada

This day combines dreamy scenery and vibrant culture in a shorter but equally exciting stretch. Gentle curves and mountainous views take you towards Granada, where the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada provide the backdrop. The city, a cultural gem of Spain, welcomes you with its famous Alhambra, a symbol of Moorish splendour in Andalusia. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the Albaicín and enjoy an authentic gastronomic experience with local tapas, such as tortilla del Sacromonte or remojón granadino, which fuse tradition and innovation.

Day 4
From the Alhambra to the Mosque: A Journey between Olivares

From Granada, the roads lead you through dreamlike landscapes dotted with endless olive groves, white villages and picture-perfect viewpoints. This stage is perfect for bikers looking for a balance between straight stretches and gentle bends. Arriving in Cordoba, the imposing Mosque-Cathedral welcomes you with its fascinating mix of architectural styles. After exploring the Jewish quarter and its flower-filled courtyards, a traditional dinner awaits, with dishes such as salmorejo and flamenquín representing the best of Cordoba's cuisine.

Day 5
The Return with a Heart Full of Memories

The last day takes you across the central plateau of Spain. The wide roads and vast landscapes offer you the perfect time to reflect on this incredible journey. Every turn reminds you of the moments you have experienced, from natural wonders to historical treasures.

Day 6 (If departure is from Alicante)
From the Plateau to the Mediterranean: A Scenic Farewell

From the vibrant capital, the final route takes you back to the Mediterranean, crossing the Central Plateau with its vast fields and traditional villages. As you head towards Alicante, the gentle curves and mountains of the Valencian hinterland offer a final motorcycling experience, surrounded by vineyards and almond groves. Arriving in Alicante, the scent of the sea and a dinner in front of the Mediterranean Sea brings this trip to a fitting close.

Alma_Española

Embark on a unique experience that combines the majesty of nature with the historical and cultural richness of Spain. From Madrid or Alicante, this 5-day, 4-night route (or 6 days and 5 nights if you start in Alicante) will take you along national and regional roads, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. You will explore the Serranía de Cuenca and the Cazorla Natural Park, natural jewels full of life and spectacular views. You will also enjoy the historical legacy of Granada, home of the Alhambra, and Cordoba, where the Mosque-Cathedral reveals centuries of history and cultural fusion.

This trip is not just a motorbike tour; it's a journey to the heart of Spain, where every stop connects you to its essence. Savour authentic local gastronomy, from traditional La Mancha dishes to Andalusian tapas, as you explore the most emblematic corners of the country. The roads are designed to delight motorcyclists, with gentle curves and breathtaking scenery.

Special note: If your departure is from Alicante, you will enjoy an extra day to ride the route from Alicante to Madrid, discovering the roads and landscapes of the interior of the provinces of Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha. This final stretch is the perfect icing on the cake for what will be an unforgettable journey.

  • Early return due to hospitalization of a family member: full coverage

  • Search, location, and forwarding of lost luggage: full coverage
If your luggage is lost on a scheduled flight, ARAG will do everything possible to locate it and keep you updated. If found, it will be delivered to you at no cost.

Exclusions:

Countries in a state of war, insurrection, or armed conflict (even if not officially declared) are excluded from coverage, as well as those specifically listed in your policy.

The insurer’s obligations under this policy end once the insured has returned to their habitual residence or has been admitted to a medical center within 30 km of it.

If you cannot reach the company through regular channels, you may contact ARAG via WhatsApp at +34 670 425 960. This system may only be used for the first contact with the company and under no circumstances may personal data or documents be sent, in compliance with current Data Protection regulations.

Of course! These routes are designed to be 100% on asphalt and are organized so you can follow the checkpoints either through GPS or the corresponding GPS app.

All types of motorcycles are welcome, but given the daily mileage, we recommend bikes of at least 250cc. Your riding experience will allow you to fully enjoy every one of our trips — these routes are accessible and enjoyable for any rider.

On full riding days, we’ll cover an average of 250 to 350 km per day. Along the way, we’ve planned photo stops, food experiences, and rest breaks so you can enjoy not only your motorcycle but also the beautiful areas we visit.

This way, you’ll have time for everything — from exploring to recharging your energy. Daily riding time is estimated at 4 to 6 hours.

Casual clothing is fine for your free time. At our facilities, we offer rental gear such as helmets, jackets, and gloves.

If you already have your own equipment, you’ll only need to bring your helmet, riding gear, and — depending on the season — rain gear.

Before the tour begins, we’ll send you our travel handbook, with useful information about the trip and a detailed checklist of the clothing and gear you should bring.

Yes, it is mandatory — and more importantly, it’s an essential element for your safety.

  • Europe: Participants from EU countries are not required to carry a passport, although we recommend having one. For participants from outside the EU, carrying a passport is mandatory.

  • Trips outside the EU: For all journeys taking place partly or entirely outside the EU, all participants must carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, as well as any required visas.

  • Motorcycle driving license:

    • For EU citizens, your license is valid in all EU member states, as well as in Turkey and Morocco.

    • For citizens of other nationalities, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required. This can usually be obtained through the Automobile Club or the relevant transport authority in your country.

    • For non-EU citizens, carrying an International Driving Permit is mandatory.

In all cases, both your passport and motorcycle license must be valid at the time of travel.

When booking international tours, it is essential to state your nationality, since some countries may require a visa for entry.

  • Morocco tours: All participants must carry a valid passport with a minimum validity of at least 6 months.

Yes, there will be an initial briefing where we’ll go over traffic rules, stages, routes, and schedules. We’ll explain the itinerary in detail, the places we’ll pass through, expected weather and road conditions.

Of course, it will also be a great moment to share riding experiences and get into the spirit of the adventure together.

We offer several payment methods: credit/debit cards and bank transfer. The initial deposit to confirm your booking must be made through one of these methods.

However, the remaining balance may be paid in cash (Euros) on the day you receive the motorcycle.

Yes, the date will not be a problem. If you are a group of 3 or more motorcycles, you can contact us and we’ll organize the trip on the date that works best for you (subject to availability).

Of course! All our trips and events can be enjoyed with a companion.
In addition, the companion’s price is always reduced.

Because moto-touring is always better when shared.

For self-guided trips, there is no strict minimum or maximum number of motorcycles, although we recommend between 1 and 10 bikes for good group management.

For organized trips, the minimum is 3 motorcycles to carry out the tour, and the maximum is 10 motorcycles to ensure a personalized experience and adapt to each rider’s needs.

If the minimum of 3 motorcycles is not reached, the event will be canceled with at least 10 days’ notice, and 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.

All our hotels have been carefully selected by the Mediterranean Routes team, after personally visiting their facilities to ensure service quality.

Most hotels offer private covered parking. For those that do not provide this service, they either have a dedicated and monitored area to park our motorcycles or are located in safe areas with no risk.

Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. If extreme adverse conditions occur, the tour leader(s) may decide to cancel the route for that day in order to ensure safety and preserve the integrity of the rest of the tour as much as possible.

It depends on the route and its duration. On some tours, breakfast and dinner are included, while on others only breakfast is covered.

Don’t worry — a few days before departure, the organization will provide you with an estimate of the amount of money you’ll need during the trip for meals, fuel, and other expenses.

Yes, absolutely. We offer a van service that can be booked on our tours for companions. On organized tours, the van also serves as a support and storage vehicle throughout the journey.
